Shipping charges to Italy from January 2026
Important Notice for Deliveries to Italy
Please be aware a new mandatory fee has been introduced in Italy for low-value imports arriving from outside the EU. We want to be transparent so there are no surprises at delivery.
What has changed?
Royal Mail has advised that, from 1 January 2026, the Italian Government introduced a €2 customs administration fee for parcels delivered to Italy from outside the EU where the goods value is €150 or less.
This fee applies to all parcels (including gifts), excluding items classified as documents.
At present, this fee is collected directly from the Italian recipient during import processing (for example by Italian authorities or local postal services). It is separate from VAT.
What this means for your order
- Our shipping prices to Italy remain unchanged.
- VAT is collected at checkout on eligible orders (where applicable).
- You may still be asked to pay a separate €2 customs administration fee on import/delivery, depending on how the parcel is processed in Italy.
- We understand this is frustrating — we’re sharing it here to help you make an informed purchase and avoid surprises.
